Synthetic hair extensions, for example, will not benefit from coconut oil. Human hair extensions will as long as the cuticles are not blocked. This is not one of the benefits of using coconut oil

Older adhesive hair extensions had oil based removers.  However, nowadays coconut oil is not be the best option for removing tape-in hair extensions. Tape-in extensions are attached to the natural hair with and adhesive tape, and coconut oil is not the most effective method for breaking down the adhesive.

Instead, it's recommended that you use a specialized remover (we suggest No-Trace tape-in extension remover) that is specifically designed to dissolve the adhesive without damaging the natural hair or the extensions. These removers are formulated with ingredients that are safe and effective for use on the hair and scalp.
