Going blonde can be a fun and exciting change, but there are some important factors to consider before making the leap. Here are some things to keep in mind before going blonde.
Considering whether committing to blonde hair is right for you?
Your skin tone:
The right shade of blonde can complement your skin tone and enhance your natural features. However, it's important to choose a shade that works well with your skin tone. If you have a warm skin tone, you'll want to go for a warm, honey blonde. If you have a cool skin tone, a platinum or ash blonde might be a better choice.
Your natural color:
If you have naturally dark hair, it may take multiple sessions to achieve the desired shade of blonde. This can be damaging to your hair, so it's important to work with a professional stylist who can help you achieve your desired look while minimizing damage.
Maintenance:
Blonde hair requires regular maintenance to keep it looking its best. You'll need to use special shampoos and conditioners designed for blonde hair to keep it healthy and prevent brassiness. You may also need to schedule regular touch-up appointments with your stylist to maintain the color.
Upkeep:
In addition to regular maintenance, you'll need to be prepared for the upkeep required to maintain blonde hair. This includes things like regular trims to prevent split ends, using heat protectant products when styling with hot tools, and avoiding excessive exposure to chlorine and sunlight.
Cost:
Going blonde can be expensive, especially if you have dark hair and require multiple sessions to achieve the desired shade. You'll also need to invest in special hair care products designed for blonde hair, which can add up over time.
Lifestyle:
Consider your lifestyle and how blonde hair will fit in with your daily routine. If you're someone who loves spending time in the sun or swimming regularly, blonde hair may require more maintenance and upkeep.

Blonde hair color ideas: using extensions / blonde hair to try on
If you want to alter the shade of blonde you currently have without coloring your natural hair, here are some tips on how to use extensions
Choose the right color:
First and foremost, you need to choose the right color of extensions. You want to select a shade that will blend seamlessly with your color. If you're unsure which color to choose, take a few photos of your hair in natural light and bring them with you when shopping for extensions. Many hair extension brands offer color swatches that you can compare to your color to ensure a perfect match.
Determine the length and style:
Once you've chosen the right color of extensions, you'll need to decide on the length and style. Do you want long, flowing locks or a shorter bob? Do you want straight or curly hair? Consider your face shape and personal style when selecting the length and style of your extensions.
Choose the right type of extensions:
There are several different types of hair extensions to choose from, including clip-in, tape-in, sew-in, and micro-ring. Clip-in extensions are the most popular because they're easy to use and can be removed whenever you want. Tape-in extensions are semi-permanent. Sew-in extensions are attached to your hair with a needle and thread, and micro-ring extensions use tiny metal beads to attach the extensions to your hair.
Install the extensions:
Depending on the type of extensions you choose, you may need to have them professionally installed. Bliss Clip-in extensions can be installed at home, but other types may require a stylist to install them for you. Follow our DIY instructions for installing the extensions here.
Blend the extensions with your natural hair:
Once the extensions are installed, you'll need to blend them with your hair. Use a comb or brush to gently blend the extensions with your hair, making sure there are no visible lines or gaps.
Style your hair:
Finally, style your hair as desired. You can curl, straighten, or braid your hair with the extensions in place. Just be sure to use heat protectant products to prevent damage to the extensions.
Using hair extensions to alter the shade of blonde you currently have is a great way to switch up your look, going blonde without damaging your hair. Just be sure to choose the right color, type, and length of extensions and follow the installation instructions carefully. With a little bit of effort, you can achieve a stunning new look that will turn heads wherever you go.

How to contour and highlight for your face shape with your hair.
Every contour can be accentuated: Contouring tips for your face shape.
A square shaped face is characterized by a prominent jawline and a strong, angular bone structure
Overall, a person's haircut can have a significant impact on your appearance and can be used to enhance your natural features and balance your facial proportions. A person's haircut can have a significant impact on your overall appearance, particularly in relation to the shape of your face. We will explore some of the best haircuts and hairstyles for an angular face. Here are some ways that a haircut can affect the appearance of a person's face:
Tips on how to contour
Contour and highlight can bring attention to the cheekbone via a haircut or hairstyle
Know your face shapes: A haircut can create the illusion of contour in similar ways to your make up! It can create a different face shape by changing the proportions of the face, forehead and chin. Did you know that a short bob can make a round face appear more of an oval face shape? A short bob can also give contouring to a square face to bring about balance.
Key areas that are affected by hair:
Jawline:
A haircut can accentuate or soften the jawline, one of the widest parts of your face for example, a pixie cut can make a strong jawline more prominent, while long layers can minimize a square jawline.
Forehead:
A haircut can also affect the appearance of the forehead. For example, bangs sitting on the brow bone can make a high forehead appear smaller, while a side-swept fringe can create a more balanced look around the sides of your forehead.
Cheekbones:
A haircut can highlight or downplay the cheekbones. For example, layers that frame the face can accentuate the cheekbones, while a sleek, straight style can create a more understated look.
Neck:
A haircut can also draw attention to or away from the neck. For example, a short bob can draw attention to a long neck, while long layers can make a short neck appear longer.
Contour according to every face shape. Highlight with haircuts and styles:
Know your face shape and learn how to contour around forehead and temples to balance
Long Layers
Long layers can help slim a boxy face by adding movement and dimension to the hair. A layered cut can help to break up the angular lines of a square face and create a more flattering shape. This style works best with hair that is at least shoulder-length and can be styled with loose waves or a middle or side part.
Bob Haircut
A bob haircut is a classic and versatile style that can be tailored to suit an angled face. The key is to add some softness to the edges of the cut. A layered bob with longer layers around the face can help to create a more gentle the jawline and create a more feminine look.
Side-Swept Bangs
Side-swept bangs can help to relax the angular lines of a boxy face by drawing attention to the eyes and cheekbones. The key is to keep the bangs long and wispy, with a slight curve towards the ends. This style works well with longer hair and can be paired with loose waves or a sleek straight look.
Layered Pixie Cut
A layered pixie cut is a bold and edgy style that can work well with a strongly angled face. The key is to add volume and texture to the hair, which can help to even out the angles of the face. A pixie cut with choppy layers can create a playful and youthful look, while a longer, tousled pixie can add some sophistication.
Soft Waves
Soft waves are a versatile hairstyle that can work well with a square face. This style works best with medium to long hair and can be created with a curling iron or by braiding damp hair overnight. The key is to keep the waves loose and relaxed, with a slight wave or curl towards the ends.
Center Part
A center part can work well with a square face, especially when paired with long, flowing hair. The key is to keep the hair smooth and straight, with a slight wave or curl towards the ends. This style can help to balance the features of a square face and create a more harmonious look.
Shoulder-Length Cut
A shoulder-length cut can be a flattering option for someone with a square or heart shaped face, especially when paired with loose waves or curls. This style works best with a slight layering around the face to add softness and dimension. It can also be styled with a middle or side part to create a more customized look.
Messy Updo
A messy updo can be a great option for a special occasion or a casual day out. This style gives your face by creating height and volume at the crown of the head, which can help to balance out the jawline and temple. The key is to keep the hair pulled back, loose and tousled, with some strands left out along the sides to balance the look.

Everything you need to know about split ends and your extensions
What will cause split ends, the different types of split ends, and how to get rid of split ends
Types of split end and how to get rid of split ends: What would cause split ends
Split ends (and what causes them) are caused by a number of factors, including excessive heat styling, chemical treatments, environmental stressors, and poor hair care habits. These things all equal up to hair damage.
Here are some of the most common causes of split ends:
Heat styling:
Using heat styling tools like straighteners, curling irons, and hairdryers can damage the hair and cause splits. When you apply heat to your hair, it can break down the proteins that make up the hair shaft, causing the hair to become weak and prone to splitting.
Chemical treatments:
Chemical treatments like hair coloring, bleaching, and perming can also hurt the hair and cause splits. These treatments can break down the protective layer of the hair, making it more vulnerable to damage.
Environmental stressors:
Environmental stressors like pollution, sun exposure, and harsh weather conditions can also damage the hair and cause splits. These stressors can strip the hair of its natural oils, making it dry and brittle, which is a sign that your hair is at risk.
Poor hair care habits:
Poor hair care habits like brushing your hair when it is wet, using a rough towel to dry your hair, and sleeping with your hair in a tight bun, hair ties, or ponytail can also cause splits. This can cause hair breakage and mean that the hair is damaged until the damaged strands of hair are shortened. These habits can pull on the hair and cause it to break, leading to split ends, and continue to split and damage the hair.
How to prevent split ends
Prevent your hair from splits because you prevent damage! A combination of good hair care habits, hair products, and protecting the hair from damage can help weakened hair recover. Here are some tips to help prevent splits:
Trim your hair regularly:
Regular trims can help prevent splits by removing the damaged ends of the hair and deal with split ends. ITS GREAT WAY TO GET RID OF THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL! It is recommended to get a trim every six to eight weeks to keep your hair healthy and get split ends under control.
Use heat styling tools sparingly:
Allow your hair to air dry. If you must use heat styling tools, use them sparingly and always use a heat protectant spray in your hair care routine to minimize damage to the rest of your hair.
Be gentle with wet hair:
Wet hair can split and is more prone to damage, so be gentle when brushing or combing it. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle your hair, and avoid pulling or tugging on it. Proper hair and comb pairing can help prevent hair from splitting.
Protect your hair from the elements:
Prevent split ends from occurring via mother nature! Protect hair from environmental stressors by wearing a hat or scarf when you are outside. Avoid exposing your hair to too much sun, wind, or rain to avoid damage to the hair. Hair needs a break from those hot sunny days!
Use a good conditioner:
Using a good conditioner can help keep your hair moisturized and prevent splits. Look for a conditioner that contains ingredients like keratin, which can help strengthen the hair.
Avoid harsh chemicals:
Avoid using harsh chemicals on your hair, like bleach or ammonia-based hair dyes, as these can break the hair and cause splits.
Eat a healthy diet:
Eating a healthy diet that is rich in vitamins and minerals can help promote healthy hair growth and prevent splits. Foods like eggs, nuts, and leafy green vegetables are all good for your hair.
Split ends happen and are a common hair problem that can be caused by a variety of factors. They can make your hair look dull and lifeless, but they can be prevented with good care habits and protective measures. Regular trims, using heat styling tools sparingly, being gentle with damp hair, and helping your hair from environmental stressors are all key to preventing splits and keeping your hair looking healthy and vibrant. With some extra care over time, even delicate hair becomes healthier.
Using hair extensions to conceal split ends and damaged hair
Split ends are a common hair problem that you may experience at the end of your hair. It is a condition where the ends of the hair strand are split into two or more segments, causing the hair to appear as dry hair that is frayed and damaged. Split ends can make hair look dull, lifeless, and unmanageable, and they can be a sign of hair that is in poor condition. We will explore the causes of split ends and how they can appear healthier with hair extensions.
Partial split, full split, double split, tree split
First, we need to be mindful not to damage our hair extensions in the same way that we damage our natural hair. Hair extensions are prone to split ends for many of the same reasons that natural hair is. Factors like heat styling, chemical treatments, environmental stressors, and poor hair care habits can all cause splits in hair extensions.
Here are some tips to help prevent splits in your hair extensions:
Be gentle with your hair extensions:
Be gentle when brushing or combing your hair extensions, and avoid using a rough towel to dry them. Use a microfiber towel or a t-shirt to gently pat your hair extensions dry.
Split ends in hair extensions can be prevented with good care habits and protective measures. Using a gentle shampoo, using a heat protectant spray, avoiding sleeping with moist hair, protecting your hair from environmental stressors, avoiding harsh chemicals, trimming your hair extensions regularly, using a deep conditioning treatment, and being gentle with your hair extensions are all key to preventing splits and keeping your hair extensions looking healthy and beautiful.
Hair extensions can be a great solution to help blend and diminish the appearance of split ends
Choose the right type of hair extensions:
When selecting hair extensions, choose a type that closely matches your hair's texture, length, and color. This will help the extensions blend in seamlessly with your natural hair.
Trim your natural hair:
Before attaching the hair extensions, trim off any split ends in your own hair. This will help ensure that the extensions blend in better and look more natural.
Use the right attachment method:
Different attachment methods work best for different hair types and lengths. Some common attachment methods include clip-ins and, tape-ins. Consult with a hair stylist to determine the best method for your hair.
Blend the extensions:
Once the hair extensions are attached, use a brush to blend your natural hair with the extensions. This will help create a seamless transition and diminish the appearance of split ends.
Style with heat protectant products:
When styling your hair, use heat protectant products to minimize damage and prevent further split ends. Avoid using high heat settings on your styling tools and be gentle when brushing or combing your hair.
Regular maintenance:
Just like with natural hair, hair extensions need regular maintenance to keep them looking their best. This includes regular washing, conditioning, and trimming.
Hair extensions can be a great way to blend and diminish the appearance of split ends in your natural hair. By choosing the right type of extensions, using the right attachment method, blending the extensions, using heat protectant products, and regularly maintaining them, you can achieve a natural and seamless look while also protecting hair from further damage.
A hair topper is a type of hair extension that is designed to cover the top of the head and blend in with your natural hair. It can be a great solution for blending and hiding some of the bulkier attachment styles, such as tape-ins. Here are some steps to help you use a topper hair extension piece to blend your extensions:
Choose the right topper:
When selecting a topper, choose one that matches your hair's color, texture, and length. Make sure it is the right size for your head and that it covers the area where you want to blend your split ends.
Section your hair:
Before attaching the topper, section off the top of your hair where the topper will be placed. This will help ensure a smooth and natural blend with your natural hair.
Secure the topper:
Once you have your hair sectioned off, attach the topper using the appropriate attachment method. Some common attachment methods for hair toppers include clips, combs, and adhesive strips.
Blend the topper:
Once the topper is attached, use a brush or comb to blend it with your natural hair. Make sure to blend the edges of the topper with your own hair, paying special attention to any areas where you have split ends.
Style your hair:
Style your hair as desired, being careful not to tug or pull on the topper. Use heat protectant products to minimize damage and prevent further split ends.
Maintain the topper:
Just like with any hair extension, a topper needs regular maintenance to keep it looking its best. This includes regular washing, conditioning, and styling.
A topper hair extension piece can be a great solution for blending and hiding split ends. By choosing the right topper, sectioning your hair, securing the topper, blending it with your natural hair, styling your hair, and maintaining the topper, you can achieve a natural and seamless look while also protecting your hair from further damage.

The Key to Hairstyles for Fine Hair:How to Pump Up Thin Hair and Flat Hair
Understanding Your Hair Type
If you have fine and thin hair, you may be looking for ways to add length and body to your flat hair. Fortunately, there are several techniques and products that can help you create the illusion of thicker hair. In this article, we’ll explore some of the best ways to add hair length and body to thin fine hair.
Hairstyles and Hair Care for Fine and Thin Hair
Use Volumizing Shampoos and Conditioners
One of the easiest ways to add body to thin fine hair is by using volumizing shampoos and conditioners to create the illusion of fuller hair. These products are designed to add volume and thickness to your hair, to make hair appear fuller and more voluminous. Look for products that contain ingredients like hydrolyzed wheat protein, keratin, and biotin, as these can help strengthen and thicken your hair. These products lift or "pump" the cuticle so that strands are actually measurably thicker.
Apply a Thickening Spray or Mousse
Applying a thickening spray or mousse. Thin hair can look limp without the proper products. These products lift your hair from the roots to make hair look thicker and fuller because of root pump. When applying a thickening spray or mousse, be sure to focus the products on the roots of your hair. When you blowdry the product using upward sweeping motions, this makes thin hair look thicker by creating a lift. Va-va-va-voom!
Use a Round Brush While Blow-Drying
Using a round brush while blow-drying works to help give subtle bend to the individual hair shafts without giving you curls. This gives the appearance of increased fullness. Start by dividing your hair into sections and then use the round brush to lift your hair up and away at the roots while blow-drying on medium-high heat. This will create the volume and lift to make your hair appear fuller in appearance. You can also flip your hair over, blowdrying upside-down to add volume of your hair.
Add Clip-In Extensions
If you’re looking to add instant length and volume to your hair, there is nothing easier than clip-in extensions. Clip-in extensions are simple to use and can add pump and volume to your hair in just a few minutes to make your thin hair appear fuller. When choosing clip-in extensions, look for ones that match your hair color and texture for a natural look. Check out this free course that shows you how to install your own clip ins without a stylist!
Try Adding Hair at the Crown: a Topper!
If you’re experiencing thinning hair or hair loss, a hair topper can give you instant coverage. Hair toppers cover the top of your hair at the crown to add volume and thickness, making your hair look more voluminous. They come in a variety of colors and styles, so you can find one that matches your hair perfectly. The best toppers look like rooted hair that is grown right from your scalp and aren't overly thick. A topper that is too much won't look natural. We recommend ours because they aren't puffy and fake looking and have a root-grown appearance.
Use a Heat Protectant Spray (every dang time!)
Heat tools like curling irons and straighteners can cause breakage to your hair and make it look thinner. To protect your hair from heat damage, always use a heat protectant spray before using any heat tools. This is great for thin hair and will help prevent damage and keep your hair looking healthy and full. Use a heat protectant formulated for fine hair, as heavy products will weigh down fine hair, which will make hair look flat. We like MorrocanOil light argan oil for baby fine hair.
Consider Hair Supplements
Hair grows out of you from what you put in you! Add thickness and length to your hair from the inside out by taking hair supplements to support and stimulate new hair growth. A mix of biotin, folic acid, and vitamin E can help promote healthy hair growth, increase strength and add thickness to make your fine hair look fuller. You do need to be consistent to see results with supplements though.
Eat a Healthy Diet.
I know, I know... we all know we should eat better. But eating a healthy diet can also help promote healthy hair growth and thickness. Foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals, like leafy greens, berries, nuts, and seeds will help nourish your hair and promote healthy growth.
Experiment with Different Hairstyles
Finally, don’t be afraid to experiment with different hairstyles to add volume and body to your hair. Thinner hair can come in all textures, straight hair, curly hair, wavy hair, long hair, short hair, limp hair. The right hairstyles for fine hair can leave your hair looking full and fabulous. Add waves or curls to your hair, or try wearing your hair in a high ponytail or bun. These styles create the illusion of thicker, fuller hair.
The best haircut for thin hair is a regular trim
Ladies, get regular haircuts.
For women with fine hair, regular trims can also help add body and thickness to baby fine hair. When you get regular trims, you remove split ends and damaged hair, which can instantly make your hair look thinner and less healthy. Haircuts for woman with thin hair is essential to achieving a fuller head of hair.
Ask your stylist to recommend the best hairstyles for thin hair. A good stylist should know the difference between fine (strands are narrow) and thin (fewer strands) hair, and present you with the best option for thin hair. The best haircuts for thin hair make your hair look thicker. Aim to get a trim every 6-8 weeks to keep your hair looking healthy and full.
Thin and fine hair can be a source of frustration for many people, as it can be difficult to style and lacks the volume and body that many hairstyles require. However, with the help of hair extensions, the best hairstyles can be achieved. It is possible to add length and volume to thin, fine hair, giving you the look and confidence you desire.
We will discuss the difference between fine and thin hair, and the benefits of hair extensions for thin, fine hair providing tips for choosing and caring for extensions.
Benefits of Hair Extensions for Fine or Thin Hair
Hair extensions can provide a variety of benefits for those with thin, fine hair. These benefits include:
Length: Hair extensions can add length to hair that is too short or not growing quickly enough.
Volume: Hair extensions can add volume to thin, fine hair, to make the hair look fuller and more voluminous.

Versatility: Hair extensions can be styled in a variety of ways, allowing you to create different looks and styles with ease.
Confidence: Hair extensions can help boost your confidence by giving you the hair you've always wanted.
Choosing Hair Extensions for Thin, Fine Hair
When choosing hair extensions to make thin hair appear thicker, there are a few things to consider to ensure that you get the best possible results.
Type of extensions: There are two main types of DIY hair extensions available: clip-ins and tape-ins. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it's important to choose the type that will work best for your hair type and lifestyle. Check out our free courses on installing both types.
Quality of extensions: The quality of your extensions will play a big role in how well they blend with your natural hair and how long they last. Look for high-quality, human hair extensions that are specifically designed for thin, fine hair.
Color: Choosing the right color of extensions is crucial for achieving a natural look. Be sure to choose a color that matches your natural hair as closely as possible, or consider getting a set of extensions that can be dyed to match your hair color.
Length: Consider the length of the extensions you want to add to your hair. If you have thin, fine hair, it's best to choose extensions that are no more than 4-6 inches longer than your natural hair to ensure that they blend well.
Caring for Hair Extensions for Thin, Fine Hair
Proper care and maintenance of your hair extensions will help them last longer and look better. Here are some tips for caring for hair extensions for thin, fine hair:
Brush your extensions regularly: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently detangle your extensions, starting at the ends and working your way up.
Wash your extensions regularly: Wash your extensions regularly to keep them clean and free of buildup. Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner designed for hair extensions.
Avoid heat styling: Heat styling can damage hair extensions. Let your hair air dry if possible. If you must use heat styling tools, use a heat protectant spray and keep the heat setting low.
Store your extensions properly: When you're not wearing your extensions, store them in a cool, dry place, avoid storing damp hair, keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
Be gentle with your extensions: Avoid tugging or pulling on your extensions, as this can damage both the extensions and your natural hair. Instead, use a gentle touch when styling and handling your hair.
Conclusion for woman with thin hair: Consider your hair wardrobe
Adding length and body to thin, fine hair with hair extensions is a great way to make thin hair look the way you want and boost your confidence. By choosing the right type and quality of extensions, selecting the right color and length, and caring for your extensions properly, you can ensure thin strands of flat hair appear thicker. Adding length and body instantly to thin fine hair is possible with the right techniques and products.

New Extensions Strands That Will Work Perfect
Dive into the different installations to be able to properly consult
The best quality hair strands for hair extensions are those that are 100% human strands, and with the cuticles intact. This type of hair is known as Remy, and it is considered to be the highest quality hair available for personalized hair care extensions. Remy hair is collected from a single donor and is carefully aligned to ensure that all the cuticles are facing the same direction. This makes the extensions look and feel more natural and helps prevent tangling and matting. In addition to Remy, some people also prefer virgin hair, which are strands that have never been chemically processed or colored. Virgin hair is also considered to be of high quality and can make for beautiful, long-lasting extensions.
Your Clients Hair Type and Hair Care Beauty Routine.
Hair extensions experience with 100 % real remy quality strands
Bliss brand hair extensions are made from 100% human hair that has been carefully collected, processed, and prepared for hair extensions. Here's a general overview of the process:
Hair Collection:
Remy hair is typically collected from a single donor to ensure that the cuticles are all facing the same direction. This helps prevent tangling and matting.
Sorting and Cleaning:
The hair analysis is done in a lab. Sorted by length and texture and cleaned to remove any dirt, debris, or chemicals. The hair health is an important tool to understand the complete hair profile. The company wants to provide quality to the customer with a long frizz free base of healthy hair to work with.
Coloring (optional):
If the hair is not already the desired color, it could be dyed to match the client's natural hair or desired style. It's important to note that high-quality Remy hair extensions are usually available in a range of natural shades, so dyeing is not always necessary.
Wefting:
The hair is then sewn onto a weft, which is a strip of fabric or mesh that holds the hair in place. The weft can be made of different materials, such as cotton or silk, and the hair can be sewn onto it by hand or machine.
Styling:
Once the hair has been wefted, it can be styled to create the desired look. This could involve cutting, curling, straightening, or adding layers to the extensions.
Quality Control:
Finally, the extensions undergo a rigorous quality control process to ensure that they are free from defects and meet the manufacturer's standards. This could involve checking for tangles, matting, or uneven lengths.
It's important to note that the quality of extensions can vary widely depending on the manufacturer and the specific process. Some manufacturers could use harsh chemicals or low-quality materials to cut costs, which can result in lower-quality extensions that are more prone to tangling, matting, and breakage. To ensure the best quality, it's important to choose a reputable manufacturer that ensures high-quality materials and processes. Bliss brand extensions deliver consistent quality.

PROFESSIONALLY INSTALL ALL THE DIFFERENT EXTENSIONS TECHNIQUES:
HAND-TIED EXTENSIONS TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS FLEX-TIP EXTENSION
Hand-tied extensions are a popular professional extension
Pros:
Natural look:
Hand-tied extensions are designed to look and feel like natural hair. Because the wefts are made by hand, they are thinner and more lightweight than machine-sewn wefts, which can make them blend more seamlessly with your client's natural hair.
Customizable:
Because hand-tied wefts are so thin, they are more customizable than machine-sewn wefts. This means that you can adjust the width and shape of the wefts to fit your client's specific head shape and hair type and get closer to part lines.
Comfortable:
The thin and lightweight nature of hand-tied wefts makes them more comfortable to wear than some other extensions.
Long-lasting:
Because the wefts are made from high-quality Remy hair, they can last for several months with proper care.
Cons:
Expensive:
Remy hand-tied extensions are often more expensive than other extensions due to the time and skill required to make them.
Installation time:
Installing hand-tied wefts can take longer than other extensions such as tape-ins. Wefts are attached to the hair using a hand-sewn method, which can be time-consuming for some stylists over quicker methods.
Maintenance:
Hand-tied wefts require regular maintenance every few months to prevent tangling and matting of the natural hair.
Not suitable for all hair types:
Hand-tied wefts might not be suitable for all hair types. They work best on hair that is fine to medium in texture and density. Thicker or coarser hair could require more wefts to achieve a natural look, which can add to the overall cost.
Hand-tied extensions can be a great option for those looking for a natural-looking and customizable extension option. However, they may not be the best choice for those on a budget or with very thick or coarse hair. It is important to consult with your client to determine the best extensions for their lifestyle and hair type.
Tape-in extensions are another popular hair extension product
Pros:
Quick and easy installation:
Tape-in extensions are relatively quick and easy to install, taking around 30-60 minutes to complete. This can be a great option for those with busy schedules or limited time for salon visits.
Lightweight:
Tape-in extensions are thin and lightweight, which can make them more comfortable to wear than other extensions.
Natural look:
Tape-in extensions are designed to look and feel like natural hair, and the adhesive tape can be hidden under layers of hair, making the extensions virtually undetectable.
Easy maintenance:
Tape-in extensions are relatively low maintenance and require less brushing and styling than some other extensions.
Cons:
Limited lifespan:
Great for short term wear. Tape-in extensions have a shorter lifespan than some other extensions, typically lasting 6-8 weeks before needing to be reinstalled.
Not suitable for all hair types:
Tape-in extensions might not be suitable for those with very fine or thin hair, as the adhesive tape can be visible or cause damage to the hair.
Limited styling options:
Because the adhesive tape is located close to the roots and dictates the direction of the hair, tape-in extensions might limit some styling options.
Tape-in extensions can be a great option for those looking for a quick and easy installation process with a natural-looking result. However, they might not be the best choice for those with very fine or thin hair, or for those who want more versatility in their styling options. It is important to consult with your client to determine the best extensions for their lifestyle and hair type.
Flex-tip extensions or nano bead extensions are great too
Pros:
Natural look:
Flex-tip extensions are designed to look and feel like natural hair. Because the extensions are attached using small metal rings, they can be placed close to the roots of the hair for a seamless blend.
Customizable:
Flex-tip extensions are highly customizable, with the option to adjust the placement to fit your client's specific head shape and hair type.
Long-lasting:
Flex-tip extensions can last for several months with proper care and maintenance.
Low maintenance:
Flex-tip extensions require minimal maintenance, with regular brushing and hair care products recommended to keep them looking their best. Use the shampoo and conditioner that's right for the extensions.
Cons:
Installation time:
Installing flex-tip extensions can be time-consuming, taking anywhere from 2-4 hours to complete.
Potential for damage:
If not installed or maintained properly, flex-tip extensions can pull on finer strands. Be sure to use proper technique. Check out our free course to make sure you are doing them correctly.
Limited styling options:
Because the metal rings are located close to the roots of the hair, flex-tip extensions could limit some styling options, such as high ponytails or updos.
Flex-tip extensions can be a great option for those looking for an undetectable, customizable and natural-looking extension option. However, they may not be the best choice for those who want a quicker installation process. It is important to consult with your client to determine the best extensions for their lifestyle and to ensure that they are installed and maintained properly.

Everything you need to know about hair toner
The many different types of hair toner
Hair toner is a product that works by depositing color onto the natural or color-treated hair to neutralize or enhance certain tones. Toner is used after the client has lightened their hair, whether through highlights or full colored hair, as it helps to correct any unwanted brassy or yellow tones that can occur during the lightening process. ALL lightening processes work by lifting natural human hair through a predictable pattern - black, brown, red-brown, red-orange, orange, gold, yellow, and finally pale yellow. If you have added color to your hair, this can add strange colors into this mix, but generally they stay within this strange red-brown to yellow range.
How hair toner works / How to use hair toner
Toner works by using a complementary (but opposing) color to cancel out any unwanted tones. When you look at a color wheel, you will be looking for the color directly across.
For example, you use hair color toner like purple to cancel out yellow tones in bleached hair or blonde hair, while blue toner can be used in brown hair to remove orange tones. Think about a toner like a translucent gel. You are just adding enough see through color to balance out the original tone. When you combine purple and yellow - they neutralize to brown. When you combine blue and orange - they neutralize to brown. Neat, right?
The stronger the toner color (deeper, richer, less see through) the more it moves to the opposite side of the color wheel. The more see-through the toner color, the less it moves across to the other side. You've probably seen the effects of leaving purple shampoo on bleached hair too long - instead of just canceling the yellows, it actually leaves little purple bits because it moved across too far to the other side of the color wheel. If it had been mixed down with a bit of regular shampoo, it would have been more translucent and would not have moved as much across the color wheel.
To use a hair toner, mix to directions and leave the toner on the hair for a specific amount of time (usually between 15 and 30 minutes. The color will penetrate the client's hair strands and neutralize or enhance the desired tones. Wash the product from your client's hair with color safe conditioner and blow out to complete the process. The more porous the hair, the more the color will be sucked into the strands. When in doubt, thin it out. :)
How to use a hair toner to make toner last
Hair toner comes in various consistencies, such as a liquid or cream, and can be used on hair in your salon to make your clients' hair dazzle. It's important to note that salon hair toner is more pigmented that at-home hair toners. Manufacturers do this intentionally so that there are less at-home styling "accidents" from untrained users. Stylists are trusted to know their products better and feel out the hair fabric they are working with to gauge if it needs to be thinned out to create the right amount of pigmentation.
It is important to choose the right color of toner and also the right consistency for your client's hair type and desired outcome, as using the wrong toner can result in unwanted color changes. Overall, hair toner is a great way to achieve the color you are after.
Removing brassy tones on your client using extensions
Tone your client's hair without dye or bleach, instead use extensions!
Did you realize you could change your color by adding hair extensions to your natural hair? If your natural hair's top layers taper a bit, you can add extensions that are up to three levels apart and completely change the color of your style!
Bliss Hair extensions aren't just a great option for adding length, volume - we can also use them to add tone and color to your clients' hair.
When it comes to toning with extensions, there are a few key things to keep in mind:
First, it's important to select the right type of extensions for the job. There are many different types of extensions available, including clip-ins, tape-ins, flex-tip, and sew-ins. Each type has its own pros and cons, so it's important to consider the client's hair type, lifestyle, and budget when making your selection.
Once you've selected the right type (style) of hair extensions, it's time to choose the color tone. If you're using extensions to add volume or length, you'll want to match the color as closely as possible to the ends of client's natural hair. However, if you're using extensions to add highlights or lowlights, you'll need to choose a color that complements the client's existing coloured hair.
When selecting a color for toning, consider the client's skin tone and eye color. Warm-toned skin looks best with warm-toned hair colors, such as golden blondes, caramel browns, and auburns. Cool-toned skin looks best with cool-toned hair colors, such as ash blondes, platinum blondes, and cool browns.
Another factor to consider is the placement of the extensions. If you're adding highlights or lowlights, you'll want to place the extensions strategically to create the desired effect. For example, if you're adding highlights, you'll want to place the extensions around the face and on the crown of the head to create a natural, sun-kissed look. If you're adding lowlights, you'll want to place the extensions underneath the top layers of hair to create depth and dimension.
Use toner to add pizazz that a professional hair stylist can recommend
When it comes to toning with hair extensions, check the texture of the extensions to your client's hair. If you're using synthetic extensions (which we do not recommend), you'll need to use a special hair dye that is designed for synthetic hair (this is more of a stain - and you'll want to alter the hair BEFORE you install it. If you're using human hair extensions (like Bliss), you can use professional hair color, but you'll need to be careful not to damage the extensions. Always, always, always do a test strand before you commit!
To apply hair dye to extensions, start by washing the extensions with a clarifying shampoo to help make sure the hair is free from any product buildup. Then, mix the hair dye according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply it to the extensions using a tint brush. Make sure to saturate the hair evenly and if you are using extensions with keratin or adhesive bonding, avoid getting the dye on these parts as it may alter their ability to hold.
After you use a color toner, let it sit for the recommended amount of time (generally no longer than 45 minutes max), then rinse the extensions thoroughly with cool water. Follow up with a color-safe conditioner to help lock in the color so toner can last and keep the extensions looking healthy and add shine to the hair.
How long does toner last? Extensions are the best "hair toners!"
If you are using extensions for toning, the results will be indefinite. If you are using a dyed color, it will gradually fade over the next 2 to 3 weeks. Toning with hair extensions can mean less coloring, and therefore less damage to delicate natural strands. If you choose to work with color, expect to refresh with a colored shampoo to maintain the tone and keep away the color of the underlying pigments. Toning is just helping to mask the natural color.
Hair extensions can be a great tool for toning the hair, whether you're adding highlights, lowlights, or a whole new color and hair tones. As a stylist, it's important to select the right type of extensions, choose a color that complements the client's skin tone and eye color, and place the extensions strategically to create the desired effect. By following these tips and using the right techniques, you can help your clients achieve their dream hair color with the help of extensions.
Clients can use hair at home to maintain hair color and hair care
Clients don't need to use hair toner, bleach, or dyed hair at home to keep hair looking great. Using hair extensions to "tone" without coloring any hair is a great way to achieve a new look without committing to a permanent color change. Clip-in extensions can help make your hair appear accented while keeping your original hair it's natural color.
Here are a few steps to follow to achieve a toned look using hair extensions:
Choose the right color:
The first step is to choose the right color of hair extensions that will match the tone of the hair. There are a variety of shades available (especially blondes since they range from warm to cool!), so take your time to find the perfect match.
Select the right type of extension:
There are several types of extensions available, such as clip-ins, tape-ins, Flex-tip, and sew-ins. For at home toning, clip-in extensions work best as they are easy to attach and remove.
Section your hair:
Section off a portion of hair where you want to add the extensions. This could be the crown of their head, the sides, or the back, depending on the look you are going for.
Prep your extensions:
Brush them out and make sure they are tangle-free. If they are not the same length as your hair, trim them to the desired length.
Install the extensions:
Clip, clip, clip! Use the appropriate installation method for the type of extensions your client has chosen.
Layer the extensions:
Working in layers from the nape, install the extensions row by row. Continue to layer the extensions, working your way up to the top of your head. Be sure to blend the extensions with the natural hair as you go, so they look seamless when you have finished.
Style your hair:
Once you have all the extensions in place, style the hair as desired. You can use a curling iron, straightener, or other styling tools to create the perfect look.
Use toning products:
To enhance the toning effect, you can use toning products such as toning shampoos or conditioners to keep the extensions looking their best.
By following these steps, you can easily achieve a toned look using hair extensions without coloring any of the natural hair. This is a great way to experiment and add dimension to hair color without the commitment of permanent hair dye, and it can be a fun way to change up your client's look for a special occasion or just for a change of pace. The Best Dirty Blonde Hair Color Ideas
Explaining dirty blonde hair color ideas
The term "dirty blonde" or "dishwater blonde hair" originated in the early 20th century and was used to describe women with darker blonde hair that had been lightened by exposure to the sun and other environmental factors. Over time, the term has evolved to describe a hair color that is intentionally created by hair stylists using various coloring techniques.
One of the reasons dirty blonde hair has become so popular is that it is a low-maintenance hair care color. Unlike other hair colors that require frequent touch-ups to maintain their vibrancy, dirty blonde hair dye can grow out without looking unkempt or messy. This makes it an ideal choice for women who don't have the time or resources to devote to regular hair appointments.
Another reason for the popularity of dirty blonde hair is its versatility. This hair color looks great on a wide range of skin tones and can be customized to suit individual preferences. For example, some women may prefer a warmer, honey blonde, while others may opt for a cooler, cool blonde. You can work with your clients to create a dirty blonde color that will make their hair complement their skin tone, eye color, and overall aesthetic.
Dirty Blonde Hair Ideas
When it comes to styling dirty blonde hair, there are many options to choose from. Women with dirty blonde hair may opt for loose, beachy waves for a laid-back, bohemian look. Alternatively, they may choose sleek, straight hair for a more polished, professional appearance. Updos, braids, and ponytails are also great options for women with dirty blonde hair, as the color tends to complement a wide range of styles.
Dirty blonde hair is a popular hair color choice that offers a natural, effortless look. Whether achieved through balayage, highlights, or other coloring techniques, this hair color is versatile and low-maintenance, making it a great choice for women of all ages and lifestyles. With so many styling options available, women with dirty blonde hair can experiment with different looks to find the one that best suits their personality and aesthetic.
There are many different ways to achieve dirty blonde hair, depending on the starting hair color and the desired hair look. Some women with naturally light dirty blonde hair may only need to add a few medium blonde lowlights to create a dirty blonde tones. Others may need to undergo a full coloring process to achieve the desired result of dirty blonde hair with lowlights.
Creating a dirty blonde balayage
This involves painting individual strands of hair with color to create a natural, graduated effect. Balayage is a low-maintenance technique, that allows the hair to grow out without requiring frequent touch-ups. This can also be done with hair extensions!
Creating dirty blonde hair with highlights
Highlights involve weaving small sections of hair and applying color to create a multidimensional effect. This technique can be customized to create a natural-looking dirty blonde effect or a more dramatic blonde ends, leaving a high-contrast look. This look can be achieved by only adding hair extensions!
Add dimension to client's dirty blonde hair with hair extensions
Clip-in extensions:
Clip-in extensions are a popular choice because they are easy to install and remove. They come in various lengths and widths, making them perfect for adding volume and dimension to your hair. You can also customize the placement of the extensions to create the perfect look.
Tape-in extensions:
Tape-in extensions are another popular choice for adding dimension to client's hair. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear, and the adhesive tape used to attach them to your natural hair is gentle and non-damaging. Tape-in extensions are great for adding length and volume to your client's hair, and they can last for several months with proper care.
Sew-in extensions:
Hand tied sew-in extensions are attached to your client's natural hair using a needle and thread. They can last for several months with proper care and are great for adding both length and volume to client's hair. Hand tied sew-in extensions are often preferred by those with thicker hair, as they can withstand more weight than clip-in or tape-in extensions.
Bliss Flex Tip extensions:
Flex tip extensions involve attaching individual strands of hair extensions to your client's natural hair using a micro-bead . This technique can be used to add length, volume, and dimension to your hair, but it is more time-consuming and can be more expensive than other extension methods.
When choosing hair extensions to add dimension to client's dirty blonde hair, it's important to consider the color and texture of the extensions. Look for extensions that closely match your client's natural hair color and texture, and consider using multiple shades to create a multidimensional look. Additionally, be sure to choose extensions that are made from high-quality human hair, as synthetic hair extensions may not blend as well with your natural hair and will not last as long.
HOW TO INSTALL FLEX-TIP, TAPE-INS, AND HAND-TIED WEFTS EXTENSIONS FOR FLAWLESS DIRTY BLONDE!!!
Achieve natural dirty blonde hair shade with Bliss Extensions
Choose the right color:
The first step to creating a custom dirty blonde blend is to choose the right color of extensions. Look for extensions that have a similar tone to your natural hair color and select a color that is a shade or two lighter than your client's natural color.
Use multiple shades:
To create a multidimensional dirty blonde babylights look, consider using multiple shades of extensions. For example, you could use a lighter blonde shade for highlights and a darker, ashier blonde shade for lowlights. This will help to create a natural-looking blend that mimics the look of sun-kissed hair.
Blend the extensions:
Once you have your client's extensions, it's important to blend them seamlessly with their natural hair. One way to do this is to use a balayage or highlighting technique to blend the extensions with client's natural hair. Beautiful and natural-looking dirty blonde blend using Bliss hair extensions
If you want to bring a bright blonde to a dirty shade of blonde, you could consider adding lighter blonde extensions to your client's hair. This will help to brighten up the overall color and add more dimension to your client's hair.
When choosing extensions, it is important to select a color that closely matches your client's natural hair color. For example, if your hair is a warm, golden blonde, you should choose extensions that have a similar warm toned highlights and lowlights. On the other hand, if your client's hair is a cool, ashy blonde, you should choose extensions with a similar cool tone base color.
If you are not sure which color of extensions to choose, you may want to consider consulting the How To's. They can help you select the right color and type of extensions for your client's hair, as well as provide tips on how to style and care for your extensions to ensure they blend seamlessly with your natural hair color and skin tone.
If you want to bring brown hair to a dark blonde, you could consider adding lighter brown or blonde strands extensions to your client's hair. The color of the extensions you choose will depend on the specific shade of dirty blonde you are trying to achieve and the undertones in your client's natural hair color.
One approach is to choose extensions that are just a few shades lighter than your client's natural hair color. This will help to create a subtle transition from brown hair to dirty blonde and give their hair a natural-looking gradient for gorgeous hair. If your client's natural hair has warm undertones, such as strawberry blonde, consider choosing extensions with similar warm undertones. If your client's hair has cool undertones, such as ash or blue, choose extensions with cooler undertones.
Another approach is to use balayage on dirty blonde hair or highlighting techniques to create a more dramatic transition from brunette to dirty blonde. In this case, you would apply highlights on dirty blonde hair or lighter color to certain sections of your hair to create a multidimensional effect.

Hair Extension Methods:The Pros And Cons Of Every Kind, From Clip-Ins To Wigs
Skip to the end for our definitive Quick Guide!
What Are Hair Extensions vs Pieces or Wigs?
Hair extensions are pieces of hair that attach UNDER your natural hair - so in essence, they need your crown hair to cover the attachments. Hair pieces and wigs are different - in that they hide the top part of your natural hair. Hair pieces and hair extensions can be worn simultaneously to avoid the dreaded "wig look." We are often asked "What are the best types of hair extensions?" or "What are the best types of hair extensions available?" - the answers may surprise you!
But first, let's start with systems that you shouldn't use.
What are legacy hair extension systems?
Not all hair extension methods are created equal. There are SO MANY different ways to attach these tiny pieces of hair, it can make your head spin. Legacy systems are simply systems that have become outdated - replaced by modern methods which are gentler on natural hair and easier to conceal.
Most modern systems have gotten away from extensions attached to braids (because the tension is hard to adjust and will be bulky and uncomfortable). Most have also gotten away from using glues as well. Bonding is a cold glue and removing it was like removing sticky boogs from your hair... It was awful. Fusion extensions were put in with hot glue - some systems (like we used to carry) could be crushed up at the end of their life and comb out, whereas others needed to be heated back up and pulled (you tried to slide it down, but... well... it was a painful and awful process that took forever).
Modern systems tend to rely on systems that go in quickly, create a secure hold and are easy on delicate strands to remove. The system you choose should depend on your client's goals, their pocketbook and how much time they want to invest. (Time and money tend to go hand-in-hand... more on that shortly.)
What you should know about hair extensions...
How long do hair extensions last?
Your hair may or may not outlast your installation.
The installation for hair extensions can last anywhere from an evening to 3 months (and that is pushing it). Any company that tells you that you can leave an install longer than 3 months is not worth giving your hard earned money to because that simply is not true. Extensions are attached at the root. As your hair grows out - so do your extensions. Imagine if you put tiny barrettes all over your hair and then left them for three months. At that time, they would be hanging about 1.5 to 2 inches down. Under them would be impossible to brush and they would likely be getting tangled on themselves. Not to mention styling becomes a huge problem and they are going to be fairly visible.
Installations that do last the longest are strand-by-strand hair extensions, rather than panels. We will go into more details about each.
Do extensions damage your real hair?
In short, NO. Hair extensions can't damage your natural hair. In fact, they may even help protect your natural hair. The real reason behind any hair breakage and loss is either due to improper installation OR improper removal - all of which can be avoided with proper training. Your training should tell you what to do, but also... drumroll, please... what NOT to do.
Installations that are too tight (especially in systems where tension is hard to adjust easily - I'm looking at you, braided sew-ins!) or are installed with too much weight in one place can cause the hair to be pulled out. You'll know that this is happening because you will see clusters of hair with little white tips. You may also see tension bumps - which can look like an allergic reaction. Tension bumps may not appear all over. It is most commonly seen at the hairline and the nape - where most of the scalp pulling happens. If this happens, your extensions need to be installed more loosely. Have them removed, wait a few days for your scalp to calm down and try again with greater attention to detail.
Removals that go wrong... waiting too long can cause issues with the natural hair tangling and matting at the base. Make sure that they are removed on time. Even if you remove them on time, legacy systems can be difficult to remove. Fusion (strand-by-strand with hot glue) removal can pull on small sections of your hair. Any hair extension method where small sections are used need to be removed carefully without pulling on fine, delicate strands. Any system that creates a sticky mess should be avoided. You might be surprised to know that our tapes and removers don't create any of the sticky mess or residue and are not prone to these issues - more on that below.
Can you wash your hair with hair extensions?
Yes, you can shampoo your hair. While it may not be best to wash hair daily from root to tip, you do want to make sure that your extensions stay clean to keep them looking their best. When you don't wash your hair or excessively sweat, this can cause a build up of oils on the strands. This will cause the strands to grip to each other and tangle.
Clients who are unfamiliar with how build up might feel (because they haven't had long hair before), may think their hair extensions are dry and make the issue worse by using excessive conditioner. This causes even more build up. This is an easy mistake to make - especially when you are new to hair extensions are are unsure how they should behave. Make sure the training that you choose goes over how the hair should react and behave under different circumstances so you can troubleshoot quickly. You can learn from us, here for free.
What are the cheapest hair extensions?
Are they real human hair? Yes, most are. But be cautious about inexpensive human hair. It may be natural looking hair in the package, but wearing cheap extension hair may be a different story. Hair that isn't cut off as a ponytail will have a mixed cuticle direction. To combat tangling, this hair is bathed in an acid bath to remove the cuticle. This makes thicker hair and coarse hair strands into finer, more desirable hair textures, but leaves them with no protection. To mimic the sheen of the cuticle, they then will add silicone sprays. This will cause hair to self-destruct about a week after you install it.
What if hair used was cheap?
Cheap hair has a time and place. You might be able to get away with it for an event that only lasts a couple days, but after that, it will become very difficult to maintain. It may be a mix of different hair textures too - which will become noticeable after washing.
If you are working with clients, be sure to go with a brand that is reputable, like Bliss. We have been working with our stylists for over two decades. Our business is built on your successful business.
The Best Hair Extension Method For Fine Or Thinning Hair...
Will Extensions Damage Fine Hair?
Not if they are installed and removed properly. In fact, they can even help protect delicate strands.
The best hair extensions for thin hair
What are the best hair extensions for thin hair? The hair extensions that are recommended for fine hair are Flex-Tip Nanos. These combine a tiny bead that slides onto the natural hair and a tiny tip that sticks out of the hair strand. Because the tip is sticking out of the bond, the bead doesn't need to fit around the entire hair extension strand. This means that the bonds can be teeny tiny! If you're looking for the best method for those suffering with hair loss, you've found it.
The best bonds are attached close to the scalp and are secured by crimping the bead with the natural hair inside. These extensions are best for thin hair or discerning hair clients. They are the most natural hair extensions because they hide very well at the root of the hair. These hair extensions are also safe for your hair! The base for the extensions simply crimp in and then crimp out. This makes them great to reuse again and again. You can learn this method here for free!
These extensions can also work well with a hair topper if one is needed for coverage or if a client would like to try bangs but doesn't want to commit. If your clients have thin hair and are looking for the most discrete solution, this set of products is the way to go.
The Best Method for Most Clients
Can you get a sew-in with thin hair?
Solid maybe. Flex-Tip Nanos are definitely the best extensions for thin hair. Sew-ins can be an extension option for thin hair but only if the user can wear extensions placed lower on their head. Recall that hair extensions are best when you have ample coverage for the attachment points.
The best hair extension method for most clients
Most clients will benefit from a beaded/hand tied weft method. A beaded extension is usually the best type because tension can be adjusted at the individual bead. When hair is braided to create the base row, it has a "fixed tension" and generally needs to grow out to release any pressure. Contrary to common belief, you cannot pull the hair and make it grow. You are just going to break it.
Extensions are secured by sewing them to the base.
Not all beaded methods are awesome. The right type of beaded row won't leave gaps between the beads. Gaps between the beads allows the weft of hair to slide up and down over the natural hair. This can cause matting and dreading under the wefts. These types of methods are also prone to slippage as they do not anchor to one another to reinforce the row.
What you NEED to know about hair extensions
In our hand tied method, we create a row that feels similar to braiding the natural hair. These are not prone to cause damage to the hair as other improperly fitted beaded methods. A properly installed row will attach to your natural hair in a way that allows all of the hair to stay on one side of the weft, not bunch up underneath, and will allow your natural strands to be brushed. They can also stay in the hair up to two months. Be wary of expensive gappy systems - and if you are currently using one of these methods, consider switching to our method. We will even teach you for free!
Another reason why beaded sew-in extensions are best for most clients is that the type of hair extension used are easily reusable. There are no glues - reinstallation can be immediate.
This only works if the hair used is a high quality extension, so make sure the hair you buy can last. Always buy from a trusted vendor. Hair extensions are big money so other companies can talk a mean game, but can't back it up. We recommend our Bliss hand tied extensions because we have found it is the best type of hair for those that want to wear extensions without breaks. It can hold up to excessive styling and its user friendly. You won't need to know about hair care in painstaking detail to have a good experience. Lower quality hair can last a long time, but it will take MUCH more effort to keep it soft and tangle free.
Best for Clients that Have Never Had Extensions?
Tape In Hair Extensions are Great For People's First Time
Tape-in extensions are great for people who have never had hair extensions before and want extensions for a short time. They are the fastest method to install, and with a little work can be reused. This makes tape-in extensions the best method for those looking to have extensions for a specific event - like a wedding or prom.
First the natural hair is shampooed and dried. Clean, dry hair is key to getting them to adhere properly to the hair. A thin slice of the natural hair is lifted and one tab is placed underneath at the root. Next, a piece is placed on top. The hair attached is like a sandwich the the natural strands of hair in the middle. Tape-in hair extensions are great for most hair types. This type of extension can be placed close to part lines (closer than wefts) which can help to make your hair easier to style - even with thick hair.
Tape in hair extensions are perfect for clients that want to try extensions but aren't ready to commit to a hand tied beaded row hair extension style or individual strands like Flex-Tip Nanos.
What Hair Extension Method Is Best For Me?
Can I DIY my hair extensions?
If you are self-installing there are two methods that stand above the rest. Tape-in hair extensions, if you would like something to last longer than one or two days and clip-in hair extensions, if you need them for an evening. Both have free self-installation courses which can be found here.
Clip-In Hair Extensions
Clip-in extensions make it easy to style your hair. They can be clipped in and out quickly. When getting your extensions, make sure you go with a brand you trust. Whether its clip in hair extensions or tape-ins, we recommend Bliss for several reasons. With Bliss, you can trust the quality. We have been in business for over two decades and we stand on our reputation. We have seen other sellers pop up, sell for a bit then appear to close their doors - but they just change their name! Be careful. Cheap extensions are usually mis-labeled and sold to unsuspecting buyers.
You can find a guide to hair extension quality here. In addition, with Bliss brand, you can purchase more than you need and return what you don't use (just keep it packaged). This means that your appointment will never fall short and you won't be stuck with extra product you can't use.
And stylists: its not just about saving money - you'll want to DIY hair extensions for your hair too! This is THE BEST form of advertising!
